New Orleans is resilience personified. Having overcome some of the notably worst challenges and tragedies in the nation throughout its 300 years of existence, the spirit of New Orleans never waivers or dies. The COVID -19 pandemic has once again tested its strength, and though slow coming, once again New Orleans intends to emerge with vibrance, love, and uncompromising preservations of its citizens and culture. In-Town’s Best is here to highlight the fortitude of that culture.

New Orleans’ festivals have and will most likely top everyone’s to do list.  Visitors and residence will continue to flock to the city to enjoy the diverse music festivals such as Voodoo, French Quarter, Jazz, and Essence. The city’s festivals are where patrons can be found dancing vivaciously in the great outdoors or in a spacious venue. But these events aren’t limited to music, there are numerous food festivals that also happen annually, including but not limited to strawberry, Seafood, Po-boy fests.   Due to the Pandemic it is uncertain what time schedules will resume so keep a look out for new information regarding scheduling of Festivals.

In a city over 300 years old, one will never be disappointed when looking for interesting attractions. Several establishments are enticing for family fun, cultural and history indulgences, or romantic dates.   Families can opt to spend afternoon at the Aquarium of the Americas, or shop along the River Walk.  Perhaps visit the New Orleans Museum of Art, enjoy the day at the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park or have a picnic in any area of over 1500 acres of City Park. The more adventurous couple may want to go on a helicopter night tour of the city. Or the more youthful at heart may want to hang out at Dave and Buster’s for the day. Rest assured New Orleans has more than enough to fill each heart’s desires.

New Orleans remains one of the world’s best places to enjoy great cuisine. Though the traditional style of dining has been challenged and changed, one can still enjoy the unique flavors of down-home cooking, (you just may have to get it to go). A couple of our favorites are Mother’s Restaurant, and K- Paul’s in the French Quarter. But this list is endless and filled with various types of restaurants to enjoy whatever type of food one may crave. Through any challenged situation, New Orleans will always find a way to fill people’s hearts and stomachs.

New Orleans offers accommodations to fit any lifestyle. If here for leisure and fun, you may consider a stay in the heart of the city downtown walking distance near or directly in the French Quarters.  Or you prefer a less busy scene, you may want to reserve a room a little further outside the downtown perimeter. You can choose from quaint and cozy Inns, to 6-star hotel suites.  Whichever fits your taste or your budget, the city has the perfect place for you. Much like the festival scene, this will be one of the things that top visitor’s and residence’s list to resume once things have settled down a bit more from the Coronavirus.  But be confident that when some sense of normalcy resumes, there will once again be a plethora of energizing night clubs where one can dance and drink until the sun comes up.  Live Bands will once again entertain, and DJ’s will no longer only be virtual. So be on the lookout for updates to this New Orleans Nightlife section. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa.
